Chapter meetings are held every second month (February, April, June, August, October, and December) with a focus on providing a relaxed and safe environment with excellent networking and knowledge sharing opportunities, combined with a short presentation from a high quality speaker from a fraud related field.

Meetings are for chapter members only, so we encourage you to join the New Zealand Chapter, and attend your local branch meetings. Once you are a chapter member, you are welcome to attend any branch meeting, if you are in the area.

Members are allowed to invite one guest to meetings for a fee of $25.

If you are not a member and would like information on upcoming events, please send us a message through the Contact page.

    TopicSovereign Citizens

This is a joint presentation by the Police Security Intelligence Threats Group and the Department of Internal Affairs Investigations Unit on the Sovereign Citizen (SOV CIT) movement in New Zealand.   Perhaps you have asked yourself ‘what are they all about and what do they want?’ ‘Are they a threat?’ and ‘Why the apparent sudden growth of the SOV CIT movement?’

    The Speakers

Bruce Ross is a Senior Investigator at the Department of Internal Affairs in Wellington.  He is also seconded to the Police Security Intelligence Threats Group.

Bruce investigates identity fraud, particular in the Citizenship, Passports, and digital identity space.   He has an interest in Sovereign Citizens interactions with DIA and their history in New Zealand.

Holly Foulkes is an Intelligence Support Officer who works in the Security, Intelligence and Threats Group (SITG) at Police HQ.

The Security, Intelligence and Threats Group (SITG) focuses on providing strategic intelligence products and analysis on the national security environment both domestically and internationally. The team works to provide strategic insight to assist operational teams within Police with the assessment of individuals, groups, or trends within the counterterrorism and violent extremism space.

    AGM

We will be starting the meeting with our Wellington Branch AGM of NZ ACFE.  Please come along early to ensure the  AGM can be completed with time to allow for the  presentation and discussion with our speakers.
